I heard another LPD girls coach had applied also.

Was not aware of that. Are you on the right topic? Did you mean to respond to the Godsey post?

Dont have to wait........ Va High 4 PV 0, Va High 8 GC 0. Those are the scores from this year. Do you actually think that the single A teams are going to get better than a AA team that is dropping down to single A? Look at the schedules of the teams we are discussing and tell me which team is playing the tougher teams. How can single A teams that play weak schedules going to get any better than a school that is far better than any Region D team now, and play the toughest schedule out of any SW. VA. school?

Yes, both are going to get better. That was at the beginning of the season. We are now over 20 games.I agree that they play tougher teams. We will just have to see when the time comes.

In HS every year you have turnover and graduating seniors...I'd say no one will know how the season is going to go next year til they play the games next year...AA or A don't mean diddley.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

What if you are loaded with 9th and 10th graders though?

Gate City already has some of the most talented freshman there is in the LPD, and will have some very talented girls next year. What you are saying about GC not able to play with VH is wrong, the girls that will be on the team next year, have played the VH girls I know it was when they were younger in All Star games, and ever since this group of girls have been together Bristol has never beat them again. So, I am not worried about VH. They will be fine, they will play alot of ball this summer!!!
Given Va High's history, and if I'm not mistaken they only have a couple of seniors on their team this season....then I'd have to probably agree with archer. Hopefully Lee's young team will improve next season. Regardless, it should be an interesting and very good battle in both softball and baseball.
IMO, PV didn't use their best pitcher against Va. High.. it might not have made a difference anyway, but then again, it could have been all the difference.
